I’m still not finding the time or incentive to use Google+, I’m even struggling to keep up-to-date with Facebook now that I’m using Twitter more. I’ve got another driving lesson later today, it seems to be going well. I need to book a theory exam for sometime this month, then there’s nothing holding me back from doing the driving test.

When it comes to writing code, it always ends up needing a second, third or fourth pass to refine and optimise it. But I always wonder when to draw the line, how clean does it need to be? I could personally spend days improving something that works just to make it look neat and tidy in a written form, but in reality that’s only worth a few milliseconds. It comes down to SEO and speed. Search engines like clean code and speed, and users like speed. But at the same time search engines like users. Is it really worth the time especially when in six months to a year I’ll probably be writing the whole lot from scratch again due to improvements in technology and the codebase I use. Does that one line of inline CSS really need to be translated into an ID or class?

Added a few more stickers to my laptop case. A few small stickers from Andy Potts, I found them when tidying up the other day. I’ve also been thinking a lot about the illustration promo project and Mail Me Art recently, I’ll have to do something with them sooner or later.
